{"id":886,"date":"2026-10-19T17:38:04","date_gmt":"2026-10-19T17:38:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/climate-reality.net\/?page_id=886"},"modified":"2026-10-19T17:38:05","modified_gmt":"2026-10-19T17:38:05","slug":"what-this-website-on-climate-tries-to-do","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/climate-reality.net\/","title":{"rendered":"What this website on climate tries to do"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This website, based upon over 100 scientific articles, attempts to answer several questions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is the climate warming?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How fast is it warming?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can we do to slow future rates of warming?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you do not care to go into the details, here are my conclusions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The climate is warming primarily because of greenhouse gases and decreased pollution, and now natural feedback.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> It will warm faster than has been previously projected, because much more heat from the sun is getting through the atmosphere.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We can slow somewhat the future increase by decreasing use of fossil fuels, and while green energy does this, the most effective means is through new nuclear technology.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To pursue these topics further, and others, please use the <strong>Table of Contents.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This website, based upon over 100 scientific articles, attempts to answer several questions: Why is the climate warming?
